Coming to school is a significant event for all the family. St George’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School and as such its Governing Body has responsibility for its own admissions. If you would like your child to be admitted to St George’s CE Voluntary Aided Primary and Nursery School, please contact the Headteacher in the first instance, giving the name and date of birth of your child(ren). A copy of the Local Authority’s (Shropshire County Council) application form will be sent to you which you will need to complete and return to the school. Alternatively you can click on the link to the Shropshire Council Admissions Website to complete the application online.
Parents will be notified of the decision on the allocation of places by the LA on behalf of the Governing Body. Should the admission be refused, parents may ask for a review, by writing to the Chairman of Governors at the school, who will refer the request to the Governors’ Admissions Committee.
