If your child would like to bring in cakes or sweets to share and celebrate their birthday please can we request that they bring in shop bought individual cakes that can be easily handed out using tongs or individually wrapped packet sweets rather than any home cooked cake. This is to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.
Children will be celebrating the harvest festival within their class bubbles this year.
The children will work in class to think about the harvest and create a piece of learning for their bubble harvest festival.
This year we are asking for donations of packets of dried food or tins of food which will be donated to the Clun Food Bank.
If you are able to donate items please send them into school with your child during the week of 28th September. Items will then be delivered to the Clun Community foodbank the following week.
Due to lack of interest in the KS1 Sports Club on a Wednesday we are instead going to hold a KS2 Rounders Club starting from next Wednesday 24th September until half term.
The club will run from 3.15-4.15pm and if you would like your child to take part then please email Helen email@example.com or drop a note in with your child.
Would a laptop or tablet to support your child with their learning?
Please contact school if a loan of ICT equipment would be of benefit to your child’s education.
We have a limited amount of ICT equipment which could be loaned out to families, kindly arranged by Mary Eminson and Bill Blake as part of the Clun Community ICT Loan.
Just a reminder to please regularly check your child’s hair for Head Lice.
Our classrooms are once again full of happy, smiling faces. As a staff team we are all so happy to have every child back in school this week.
All children have adapted brilliantly, taking all the changes to the school routine in their stride. We are all very proud of them and of the fantastic attitude they have returned to school with.
During the summer period we have had many pieces of work carried out across the school:
- A new internal library roof.
- Two outdoor sinks with running water have been installed, which have helped greatly with the increased handwashing during the school day. Thank you to the PTA who funded this project.
- An extra section was added to our original outdoor track so that it is now a complete circuit.
- Repairs were made to the Nursery playhouse and playground boundary wall.
- A fenced gardening area with raised beds has been installed on the edge of the field.
