In English, we have been learning all about instruction writing. As our hot task (end of the unit), the children have each created a set of instructions independently for how to steal Christmas inspired by the Grinch! They have all worked so hard on them – well done Class 3!
As a part of our Romans topic, class 3 were challenged with making their own Roman shield for homework. They all created amazing shields and should be so proud! We all used our own shields to practice our Testudo formation that we learnt on our trip to Chester.
Class 3 have had such an exciting end to their half term this week!
On Thursday, we all travelled to Chester to the Grovesnor Museum where we took part in a Romans workshop and a Roman soldier tour. The children had a fantastic time and were signed of as fit to join the Roman army after their brilliant formation training.
This morning we then got the chance to do some apple pressing. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and we all got to try some delicious fresh apple juice!
Class 3 have all chosen their favourite book to add to our Bookflix display, each drawing the front cover of their chosen book. If any child is struggling with what to read we have some great recommendations from the rest of the class! We have also started our class book (The Battle of Bubble and Squeak) and we are all really enjoying it!
