Class 2 learnt about William the Conqueror and the story of how he came to England and defeated Harold at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. We discovered that we know about what happened because of the Bayeux tapestry. The children worked in pairs to recreate moments from the story of how William defeated the Saxons.
