At St George's CE Academy, we believe that reading opens doors to imagination, creativity, knowledge, and confidence. That is why we are proud to announce that 2026 will be our Year of Reading — a whole-school celebration dedicated to inspiring every child to discover the joy of books.

Throughout the year, children, families, staff and our wider community will take part in exciting reading activities designed to build a lifelong love of reading.
