On Friday afternoon, Class 3 visited St George’s Church. As part of our RE curriculum we are learning about the features of Church of England churches and cathedrals and this gave us the perfect opportunity to visit our local Church for the first time in nearly 2 years!
The children were given a layout of a Church of England church and asks to see if they could find all the features of it in our church. They really enjoyed the experience and commented that they had now noticed more features that they hadn’t before, such as, the font, the nave and the sanctuary.
Two children were very excited to see their family name in several areas of the church and have been tasked with finding out more about them and their significance to the local parish.
