They all created amazing shields and should be so proud! We all used our own shields to practice our Testudo formation that we learnt on our trip to Chester.

As our hot task (end of the unit), the children have each created a set of instructions independently for how to steal Christmas inspired by the Grinch! They have all worked so hard on them – well done Class 3!

On Thursday, we all travelled to Chester to the Grovesnor Museum where we took part in a Romans workshop and a Roman soldier tour. The children had a fantastic time and were signed of as fit to join the Roman army after their brilliant formation training.

This morning we then got the chance to do some apple pressing. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and we all got to try some delicious fresh apple juice!

If any child is struggling with what to read we have some great recommendations from the rest of the class! We have also started our class book (The Battle of Bubble and Squeak) and we are all really enjoying it!
