Church

Our connections with the Church are as old as the school itself and are fundamental to the ethos of our teaching at St. George’s.

Our Mission Statement

The School aims to serve its community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all pupils.

Collective Worship

Reverend Caroline leading a Lenten collective worship.

Collective worship lies at the heart of the school day and allows everyone to gather together as one community.

Within the context of Christian belief and practice, worship includes active engagement, praise, readings, drama, prayers and reflection.

We would like to share with you a prayer written by one of our pupils:

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for all the memories at this school

that make me feel happy when I’m feeling down

which are coming to me everyday

Let us thank you for all the friends I make every day

and how kind they are to you when you feel left out

Please support me when I find school work hard

Or when it’s hard to get along with people

Remember to remind me to believe in myself

and make sure that I never give up

Amen
