Over the last two weeks Class 3 have been learning to use persuasive writing techniques.
We began by investigating persuasive text examples, identifying features and language use. We then moved onto working in small groups to create a shared piece of persuasive writing.
Last Monday, I challenged the class to independently write a persuasive argument that school uniform should be banned in schools. Well, the children’s writing was brilliant! They each created a formal persuasive text, clearly setting out their own arguments with reasons. To celebrate their persuasive writing success Class 3 had their very own ‘Own Clothes Day’ on Friday.
